TFP AWARDS SPECIAL

TFP Annual Event and Awards 2020

With lockdowns in place across the world due to the coronavirus pandemic, our usual TFP Annual Event and Awards Ceremony was unable to take place. But that doesn’t mean that our partner banks haven’t gone unrecognised

2020 TFP Annual Event and Awards Ceremony

Usually in May, our trade finance community comes together at the EBRD Annual Meeting and Business Forum for the TFP Annual Event and Awards Ceremony, where we meet colleagues and friends to discuss the latest industry developments, exchange ideas and recognise achievements.

Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, this hasn’t been possible.

However, we are pleased to announce the winners of our prestigious annual TFP Awards!

The 2020 TFP Awards honour those successful issuing and confirming banks that have been most active in delivering EBRD financing across our regions of operations over the past year, and include a bank that has attained academic excellence by training its employees in the EBRD’s capacity development programmes.

“Trade finance is key to boosting economic development and growth across the EBRD’s regions of operations,” explained Francis Malige, EBRD Managing Director, Financial Institutions.

“Our partner banks help to make this happen by providing the financial means and support that allow companies to identify, explore and conquer new markets.”

“Through our annual TFP awards,” he continued “we are proud to recognise the achievements of partner banks in 27 countries, who are making a real impact and creatively using the EBRD’s financing products to support international trade.”
